I did the following presentation at The Dixon Gallery & Gardens Munch and Learn on Wednesday, March 28. The only thing I did not included in this are the lovely pictures because I did not want to infringe on any copyright laws. The image above is one of my own. It does contain a book I purchased that is more of a coffee table book; not one that I enjoyed reading. It has great pictures if you are interested and is called Chanel and her world. The one that I enjoyed reading was Mademoiselle “Coco” Chanel and The Pulse of History. I skipped through most of the political stuff in it. If you enjoy politics than this is definitely the book to get! This presentation…
Hey friends! Are you ready for some art and fun in Memphis! Well, you better get ready! Your going to see so many amazing pictures in this post! I am so excited to tell you about my visit to the Dixon Gallery & Gardens here in Memphis, TN! I am discovering through blogging that we have some really beautiful places here in Memphis. I am somewhat of a homebody so it sometimes takes others to get me out of the house! It’s sad but true. I got an invite to the Dixon Gallery & Gardens and I’m so glad I did. A few of us local bloggers went and met Amy Lawrence, Communications Associate, and got a wonderful tour of the grounds and the gallery. …
Hello Ladies! I really wanted to do a post on my recommendations for holiday gifts. I wanted to make it fun and different and could not figure out what to do. As I was laying in bed one night I remembered I needed to get some Chick-fil-A calendars for people for Christmas. We have done this the past few years. I try to get them early because one year they sold out. This is something that people truly love to receive for Christmas and don’t usually purchase for themselves. It is so simple and it’s the gift that keeps on giving! Wow, LIGHTBULB! That would make a great post for Christmas gift ideas! I decided to round up a list of things that I feel…
Hey Ladies! It is Monday! I hope it’s a “better than the normal” mundane Monday! I have a fun “Tidbit” topic today that I want to share with you! If I had to guess I would say that most of you are iPhone users. Android by far dominates the cell phone market but it seems that the majority of the fashion world uses the iPhone. That last part is just speculation! But I truely feel like I’m right on. I have never used an iPhone so I don’t even know if I would like it. So, I will concentrate on the topic which is my lovely new Google Pixel 2 XL and Live case that my husband designed for me. Why I love my new…
Hey! I hope everyone is surviving the time change! I usually adjust much better to this time change than the one in the spring even though the days are shorter. Last week was such a busy week for me that I even forgot about the time change on Saturday night LOL. Thankfully our smart phones automatically update the time change so we got up in time to go to church! I even updated my website on Sunday, so if you are reading this, thanks for coming and you are now able to subscribe and get updates on new posts if you would like! With the new website, I have also created a new section of my blog that is called Style Tidbits. These will be…
Hello again! For those of you who are new to traveling and are taking a long getaway I hope this article is helpful to you. This is a continuation to an article I wrote in August called Travel Essentials for those Long Getaways. My client that is taking the trip was so kind to let me photograph the wardrobe that accompanied her on her getaway. The temperatures predicted for her overseas destination were going to be in the low 40’s or 50’s and high 70’s or 80’s. To allow room for future purchases on your trip, I recommend that you keep your choices at a minimum and practice packing them early to make sure they will fit properly (with room left) in your suitcase. There are a…
