Designer of the Week: Z Supply

This designer is very fitting for me to talk about this week.  I have just recently discovered this brand and think that it is really cute and has a lovely price point.  The reason it is so fitting is that the styles just suit my current lifestyle.  Z Supply specializes in great essentials that will mix well into your existing wardrobe.  The clothing style is comfortable and casual but has a snappy look to it.  I was recently shopping with a client and we went to a store in Collierville, TN called Loni’s Fashions, which is the cutest little “hidden gem” in the city that has been in business for 30 years!  That is such an accomplishment for a small business that I am speechless.  Anyway, to get back on track, they carry the Z Supply brand and we both purchased a piece from their fall collection.

Z Supply is one of six brands under the umbrella company Z Supply LLC. which was founded in 2013. The other brands are White Crow, Black Swan, Others Follow, Rag Poets, and Icons of Culture. I found this information when I googled the company Z Supply. They consider all of their brands highly targeted to a specific customer and with six brands they have the ability to reach a wide range of markets. They also said they maintain great relationships with manufacturing which allows them to streamline their processing and create affordable products.

My purchase was their oh-so-popular Crushed Velvet Tee.  I got the charcoal color and I absolutely love it! The color is so beautiful and the fit is perfect! I have been looking for a good velvet t-shirt for a few months now and finally found it when I wasn’t even shopping for myself!  I immediately wore it the next day when I went to hang out with a friend.  Since it is still 90 degrees here in Memphis I chose to wear it with my denim shorts and Nike metallic flyknit sneakers.  It was worth the $42 that I paid for it.  I was glad to see that I got it for a cheaper price than what they list it for on the Z Supply website which is $50. I will be wearing this under some of my jackets with jeans when it gets cooler outside!

Here are three outfits that give great examples of how versatile this little guy is! You can wear it by itself with some cute booties or even sneakers (like I did with my shorts) or layer it under a casual jacket or a dressy blazer.  I love having items like this in my closet to give me some variety in putting together some fun outfits. The greatest thing about this tee is I paired it together with things I already own so I didn’t have to worry about purchasing something to go with it!

My client purchased the Z Supply Dakota pullover in Raisin.  You will see a good number of pullovers in their fall collection. The pullover has a cute rounded hem that splits on the sides and is done in the popular burnout look that gives it a more chic look.  She will be wearing this with her workout leggings (remember to cover the bum) and even jeans when she is wanting a comfy casual look.  The color Raisin is so pretty and would be great on all hair colors and skintones! The price at Loni’s Fasions was $59 and is the same as the price on the Z Supply website.

I have created some outfits for you to see how this hoodie looks with fun leggings, by itself with jeans and even layered under a jacket!  I think this is just as versatile as the velvet tee and can be paired with many great things that you already own to create comfortable and on-trend outfits!

Before we finish I do want to talk about Z Supply’s camo prints!  In the collection online they offer two different pullover sweatshirts, a short sleeve pocket t-shirt, a long sleeve pocket t-shirt, a crew neck t-shirt, a baseball tee, a tank top, a jogger, a short, a dress, a zip-up hoodie, a cold shoulder pullover(yesss!) and a bomber jacket ALL IN CAMO! Shooo that’s A LOT!!!  And their camo has a cool vintage look to it, which makes it unique from others that you will see.  I am hoping to get my hands on at least one piece of their camo very soon!

Regardless of your age, I think you should consider taking a look at this brand..  They offer a variety of pieces and if you have a casual lifestyle this would be perfect for you!  From my experience with my velvet tee I would say the quality is very good as well.
