Eighteen Perfect Summer Dresses

Hello friends! I hope you are ready to see some really awesome summer dresses!  I usually do not write posts about particular items that I am currently loving because I really like to be more in depth about styling in my posts. I try to do this by showing you how I styled the items myself, therefore I usually own at least one of the items I am talking about.

Today is going to be a little different because I am going to make some suggestions to you on dresses that I have not worn. The suggestions I am going to make are dresses that you can throw on with a great sandal and earrings to create an easy styled look.  I have seen so many great dresses that are cotton, linen and a cotton/linen blend that I just had to share them with you!

The most common fabric to see this time of year is rayon and I am not a fan!  I do think rayon has some good qualities but the bad far outweighs the good in my mind.  You can read all about this in my next post that will be out on Monday!  In the meantime,  I will share with you what I think are the best dresses for summer.

I do want to reiterate that I have not personally tried any of these dresses on.  I think they are beautiful styles and the materials are cotton and linen.  I wanted to recommend them because honestly great cotton or linen dresses are hard to find.  If you order anything from these suggestions please let me know if you liked it! Maxi or Long Flowy Dresses for Summer

I am going to start with the midi to long maxi dresses.  I know that not all women like to show their legs so this is a great option for summer.  The material will make them very flowy and cool for the quickly approaching summer heat.  I also think if you don’t like to show your arms a cardigan or jean jacket would work perfectly over any of these suggestions. These dresses are fairly casual so they can be worn anytime during the day and will take you just about anywhere. To keep with the casual feel put on a flat sandal or espadrille and a floppy straw hat! To dress them up for an evening out put on a heel and fancy jewelry.

Conservative Dresses for Summer

The next suggestions are for those that are more conservative and do not like to show their arms. If you prefer a 3/4 length or long sleeve these are great options to be cute in a dress in the summer heat! The white eyelet dress is definitely the dressiest one and would be a good choice for an event or date night.  The rest of the bunch are pretty casual and can be worn on a daily basis.  The longer shirt dress would  be great for a work option.

Short Stylish Dresses for Summer

These last dresses are suggestions if you are not afraid to show some skin and be a little less conservative.  Some of these are great for everyday wear while the others would be great for date nights and fun parties during the summer months.

I hope you enjoyed seeing these eighteen perfect summer dresses.  They are light weight and just easy to wear.  You don’t have to think a whole lot about your outfit when you can just put on a great dress.  If you had a great pair of nude dress shoes and a pair of neutral espadrilles you would be set with choosing a shoe for any of them! Achieving a fashionable look can truly be simplified and not require too much thought to look really fabulous!
